If you're a Spice Girls fan, you'll have been following Victoria Beckham's transformation from global pop star to fashion designer and mother of four over the past three decades.
One thing that has remained consistent throughout her life in the spotlight is her strict diet, which she has admitted includes steamed fish, plenty of vegetables and minimal processed food.
In her most recent food update, Posh Spice revealed the go-to daily breakfast her husband David Beckham prepares for her each morning. Next to a photo of toast in the shape of a heart, topped with creamy smashed avocado, she affectionately wrote: "When daddy makes breakfast," tagging former footballer David.
Victoria previously confessed that she exclusively buys Organic Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Wholegrain Bread for her household, writing in 2020: "We switched our usual bread for this - and even the kids like it."
The sprouted bread, which contains all nine essential amino acids, is based on the Ezekiel 4:9 verse that reads: "Take also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils and millet, and spelt and put them in one vessel."
We can assume, therefore, that VB's latest photo is made up of this "biblical" bread, but what does a nutritionist think about the meal?
Nutritionist weighs in
Registered Nutritionist Charlotte Faure Green described the meal, which comes in at around 240 calories, as "nutritionally solid" but said it could leave her "peckish".
Breaking down the value of each part of the dish, she told HELLO!: "Avocado delivers monounsaturated fats, fibre, potassium, folate and vitamins E and K, while the olive oil adds anti-inflammatory compounds alongside more healthy fats.
"Sprouted grain bread is worth choosing over standard options because the sprouting process breaks down phytic acid, an antinutrient that would otherwise limit how well the body absorbs minerals like zinc, iron and magnesium. It also tends to produce a gentler blood sugar response than regular bread, even wholemeal, because sprouting partially breaks down the starch before it ever reaches your digestive system."
However, she said that the lack of protein means that it would not keep Victoria full until lunch.
"Whilst it is high in fibre and good fats, it is low in protein, which is our biggest asset for satiety. Protein takes longer to break down than carbohydrates and signals satiety hormones more effectively than fat alone," she added, before offering her suggested tweaks to make this a "great" breakfast.
"I would jazz this up a little with two poached eggs to add complete protein alongside choline, which supports brain function and liver health. Smoked salmon and avo are a perfect duo, giving omega-3 fatty acids on top of the protein."
Pumpkin seeds with lemon juice are a good plant-based alternative, Charlotte concluded, as the Vitamin C enhances iron absorption.
Breakfast downfalls
This is not the only kind of breakfast on Victoria's menu, according to her friend Eva Longoria. In a new interview with MailOnline, Eva said: "She's actually easy because we eat the same breakfast. We both love egg whites and avocado. When we're together... she makes a great egg whites and avocado."
Assuming she has a whole avocado, which is around 240 calories, and the whites of two or three eggs, around 60 calories, Victoria would be consuming around 300 calories for this breakfast.
Jenna Hope, registered nutritionist and author of How To Stay Healthy, said this doesn't necessarily constitute the healthiest version Victoria could whip up.
She previously explained: "Victoria Beckham's breakfast is not nutritionally complete as it lacks a source of complex carbohydrates, which are essential for supporting energy production. Additionally, removing egg yolks removes key nutrients such as choline and Vitamin D, both of which are vital for supporting cognitive function and mood."
