For the Austrian public standing in line at the post office has probably never been so alluring. For the price of 75 cents customers will soon be able to buy a stamp emblazoned with the face of bewitching supermodel Naomi Campbell.
The beauty's features are to adorn letters in a fundraising effort for the Vienna Life Ball, which supports AIDS charities. On May 20 Naomi hosts the sumptuous annual extravaganza in the Austrian capital as part of a personal charity drive celebrating her two decades in the fashion business.
Since 1993 Vienna's city hall square has come to a standstill in a riot of colour and music as drag queens and designer fashion shows kick off the event. By posing for the stamp Naomi follows in the footsteps of another gorgeous catwalk queen, Heidi Klum.
"We are very glad that Naomi has accepted our invitation" declared delighted post office spokesman Erich Haas. "The Austrian Postal Authority is looking forward very much to this year's Life Ball!"
