Gwen Stefani's super-stylish son Kingston took it all in his stride when he joined fashion bigwigs and celebrity guests at the start of New York fashion week. The 15-month-old got a taste of the limelight when he joined his famous mum on stage at the presentation of her latest LAMB fashion line.

The singer-turned-fashion designer and her son acknowledged the applause of the star-packed audience which included Kingston's dad, rocker Gavin Rossdale, rap mogul Diddy and hip-hop songstress Eve.

Gwen's Sixties-themed black and white collection also won over the critics. Highlights were a retro feel Abingdon Road coat and a platform shoe, named 'The Kingston' after Gwen's best boy.

Across town fellow mum Linda Evangelista was attending a lunch in honour of the artistic director at Paris fashion house Lanvin, Alber Elbaz. Her role as mother to 11-month-old Augustin seems to agree with the Canadian beauty, who, with fellow model Iman, brought a dash of élan to the event.

Rounding off the flurry of fashion activity in the Big Apple was a party every girl would have wanted an invite to. Calvin Klein was celebrating 25 years in the undie business and the host at the event was gorgeous Blood Diamond actor Djimon Hounsou, the current face and body of the label's male underwear line.
