Duchess Kate shops for baby George at designer discount outlet

On 14 August 2014

The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton, is known for her love of a good bargain, often picking up designer creations at a discounted price. So her fans will not be surprised to find out that the royal was spotted rummaging through rails at discount outlet Bicester Village and managed to pick up a pair of sale pyjamas for Prince George. The brunette beauty bought the sleepwear for her son from Lacoste, before scouring the sales rails in Reiss – one of her favourite high street store.

Fellow shoppers were delighted to be shopping with the Duchess, taking to Twitter to express their excitement. "Chuffed to bits," said one Twitter user. "I met Kate Middleton today, had a little chat and she was lovely!" Another tweeted, "Still quite overexcited about exchanging smiles with Kate Middleton this moring!"

"Kate came in on Sunday on her own, just like anyone else, and browsed the sales racks," a shop assistant told The Sun. "At first I didn't recognise her – I couldn't believe it was Kate. She was very friendly and I was starstruck to be honest." Kate also visited Ralph Lauren, Bonpoint and Gucci. It's not the first time Kate has visited Bicester Village – she previously snapped up a discounted blue M Missoni coatdress that she wore to a wedding and also to visit the National Portrait gallery with the Duchess of Cornwall during the Diamond Jubilee tour in 2012.
