King Charles, 77, is celebrated for his dedication to royal duties and his unwavering passion for the environment, but what he may not be so well known for is being a fashionista. However, his country home has now teamed up with powerhouse Burberry for an exciting Highgrove x Burberry launch.

Burberry shared an Instagram post in conjunction with Highgrove Gardens and the video showed an animated video of the watercolour coming to life as well as the full look at the beautiful scarf. The caption read: "Picture this. An original watercolour by His Majesty The King depicting Birkhall on the Balmoral Estate – featured on the Highgrove x Burberry silk scarf."

The announcement garnered a lot of love online, including royal fans adding that it was a "stunning" and "beautiful" piece. One simply wrote: "Oh wow," while others opted for love-heart-eyed emojis to express their opinion.

Other 'new in' items, as per the Highgrove Gardens website, include a trench coat, jacket and checked cashmere scarf.

This is not the first time that the iconic heritage brand has celebrated His Majesty as the brand launched a limited-edition scarf in 2023 to mark his coronation. It later expanded into a seasonal collection collaboration with artists like Sammi Lynch and Helen Bullock supporting The King's Foundation.

Several members of the British royal family have supported Burberry over the years, but their current fashion muse is most certainly the Princess of Wales, who is often seen in their classic pieces. Most recently, the royal stepped out in a chocolate brown trench by the brand, showing how effortless a Burberry coat can look. She paired the double-breasted design, which can retail for around £1,895, with skinny trousers, a polo neck and boots.

A royal warrant brand

It was Queen Elizabeth II who granted the fashion house its first official Royal Warrant as a Weatherproofer in 1955. Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, existing royal warrants officially became void but in May 2024, King Charles III formally reinstated it under his new reign, reaffirming the house’s standing as an official supplier of weather-resistant apparel to the royal household.

Highgrove Gardens' Bottlegreen range

King Charles has also launched new drinks this month

This brand-new scarf comes days after the announcement of Highgrove Gardens' collaboration with Bottlegreen drinks. I was lucky enough to attend the exclusive press preview where we got to sample the three new flavours and tour the grounds, which inspired the drink flavours. Stepping foot in King Charles' private garden and having an expert-led tour really gave me an insight into how much the monarch cares about his surroundings and how much he champions sustainability.
