With workouts in gyms and fitness studios still in limbo, it’s important to continue to find alternative ways to work out and make it entertaining too. Case in point, Elaine Welteroth, who revealed a new quarantine workout hack she’s been doing to have a little fun while she’s toning up.

“Hiking + Karaoke = my new fave quarantine activity,” the new Talk host captioned a clip in her Instagram story that showed her singing into her phone during a hike with her husband, Jonathan Singletary, in Los Angeles. Elaine added, "I'm getting very good at the air drums, and interpretative dance is kind of my thing," as she danced around a street.
Ever the fashionista, Elaine rocked a black Nike sports bra and black biker shorts with a black sweatshirt wrapped around her hips. She completed her casual athleisure look with black cat-rimmed sunglasses, and black and gray Nike sneakers.
Whatever Elaine is doing to stay in tip-top shape, we’re willing to give it a shot. The former Teen Vogue Editor-in-chief gave a glimpse of her toned figure in the video, proving that her hikes - and any other fitness routines - are continuing to pay off.

Elaine and her husband moved to Los Angeles in November after she landed her new hosting gig on The Talk, and she seems to be loving it so far. “Hey LA! What’s up?,” she captioned a photo of herself striking a pose in front of the Hollywood sign in a different black Nike crop top, biking shorts, and Nike sneakers.

“Yes, this picture is the most touristy thing an LA transplant can possibly do. And yes, I did it anyway. Unapologetically. Bc that’s how excited I am to be in this SUNSHINE. Also bc JOY > judgement. Let me live, OK!,” she continued. Cheers to new seasons of doing all the things that bring YOU joy—no matter what anyone may say.”
Elaine’s motivational mantras like that one are just one reason why her fans love her - and we love her for that too. On Monday, the journalist shared another mantra to live by on Instagram - “Everything that made you an outsider in the dying culture has now prepared you as a leader for the new earth.”

“Spiritual vitamin,” one person wrote, adding touchdown emojis, “Needed this,” another wrote. “That’s a whole word. I’ve been saying this to my friends and family,” another fan chimed in.
We’re not only looking forward to more of Elaine’s words of wisdom, but also the new voice she brings to The Talk.
