The Princess of Wales looked radiant in Italy on Wednesday afternoon. The beautiful royal delighted onlookers in Reggio Emilia, as she took part in her first engagement of the trip.

Kate caused a stir as she arrived wearing a stunning blue suit by Edeline Lee. Part of the brand's current collection, it's described as 'Laguna Blue' and looked glorious against her cascading mermaid-esque curls. She carried a contrasting pastel blue, top-handled bag by Asprey, and subtle makeup highlighted her dazzling features.

Kate kicked off her two-day visit in style

Prince William's wife's two-day visit is focused on the city’s renowned philosophy around early childhood development, often referred to as the 'Reggio Emilia' approach. Kate has long had an interest in early childhood studies, and this European trip shows her dedication to pushing the topic into the spotlight even further.

Royal ladies often embrace labels connected with the country they are visiting

There has been much speculation around what the princess will wear on this trip. When the royal family goes overseas, outfits are meticulously planned. Often, royal ladies emulate the late Queen Elizabeth II, who often incorporated national emblems or colours into her outfits, as well as designers from that country.

Kate has worn a variety of clothes from Italian fashion houses in the past, but her favourite appears to be Gucci.

In February, the Prince and Princess of Wales stepped out at London's Royal Festival Hall for the 79th British Academy Film Awards.

The beautiful formal dress featured a muted mauve and pink colour palette and was cut immaculately with a cinched waistline, shoulder-grazing V-neck bodice, and a fluid skirt that floated as she walked.

For the first time in three years, Kate attended the event in an enchanting, ethereal pink, off-the-shoulder gown by Gucci, which she first wore in 2019.

Kate famously made flashbulbs pop at London's Victoria & Albert Museum in 2017 while opening a new exhibition. At the time, fans were taken aback by her Gucci tweed frock, which was cut shorter than most of her hemlines, finishing just above the knee. The statement design packed a powerful punch with its bold black, red, and white colorway, and it was made with the designer label's signature web trim and gold statement buttons.
