Netflix has released a festive treat in the form of brand new movie Holidate and fans have been loving it already. The uplifting film has an all-star cast including Emma Roberts, Luke Bracey and Kristen Chenoweth, but it seems fans are convinced that another very famous face makes a cameo too.
While the two leading stars Sloane (Emma Roberts) and Jackson (Luke Bracey) stand in a supermarket discussing actor Ryan Gosling, eagle-eyed viewers at home spotted a Ryan-like extra appear in the background and fans took to social media to give their verdict.

One person wrote: "SOMEBODY PLS TELL ME THAT THE GUY IN THE BACK IS @RyanGosling!!! @netflix #holidate." Another added: "I don't know if it's him, but the scene in the store with possibly Ryan Gosling in the background was hilarious. #HolidateNetflix #Holidate."
A third wrote: "Has anyone seen Ryan Gosling behind Sloane at the market? I think I dreamt it, was it actually him or his stuntman?", while a fourth added: "That is so Ryan Gosling in the frozen aisle!"
Fans are convinced Ryan Gosling makes a cameo in the film
While we're not convinced the actor is him, the film humorously makes a nod to the actor. Jackson says to Sloane: "I bet you money that if Ryan Gosling waltzed down this frozen food aisle and offered to take you on the ride of your life, you would still say no. Because you'd be too afraid to get on that train: the Ryan Gosling train." Coincidence, much?
Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey in Holidate
The synopsis for the festive flick reads: "Sloane and Jackson hate the holidays. They constantly find themselves single, sitting at the kids' table, or stuck with awkward dates. But when these two strangers meet one particularly bad Christmas, they make a pact to be each other's 'holidate' for every festive occasion throughout the next year.
"With a mutual disdain for the holidays, and assuring themselves that they have no romantic interest in the other, they make the perfect team. However, as a year of absurd celebrations come to an end, Sloane and Jackson find that sharing everything they hate may just prove to be something they unexpectedly love."
