The Venice Film Festival 2026 is back for its 83rd edition. The prestigious, world-famous festival began on Wednesday, when Laura Dern presented Hollywood royalty George Clooney with the Lifetime Achievement in Cinema Award. His leading lady, wife Amal, looked the picture of beauty, wearing a dreamy black, ruffled custom Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann gown, accessorised with Cartier jewels.

But did you see her hair? The mother of two is known for her magnificently thick and long locks, and in Venice, her mane looked as if it had a fresh whip of colour.

George and Amal were a vision on the red carpet

The human rights barrister's hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos, shared a stunning new set of photos of his world-famous client, remarking that he had created a 'Blurred Brown' look for the star.

He penned: "I wanted to keep her glam soft and ethereal." Dimitris explained the reasoning behind this look: "It is the colour you try to cover the summer highlights for Fall, but they're still there, so it's the perfect see-through highlights, but the colour is very rich and not washed out."

He added: "To achieve the blurred brown hair colour, I used 'Preference' by L'Oréal Paris. I kept her curls shiny by using 'Iron Sleek' by L'Oréal Paris as well, and I brushed through the curls and sprayed a lot of 'Elnett' hairspray for the best hold on the red carpet." Hollywood elite quickly responded to this look, with Isla Fisher commenting: "Wow! Best hair ever!"

Cutting hair for the Clooneys

Also, in his post, Dimitris reflected on the first time he cut Ocean's Eleven star George Clooney's hair. "I started working with George a little after I met Amal, and I'm not gonna lie, I felt a bit intimidated the first time I was going to give him a haircut! I still remember telling myself, "Dude, watch out; you're cutting George Clooney's hair. Don't mess it up."

He added: "I guess I didn't, and after so many years, George has taught me so, so much about life... he gave me this big opportunity to be on set with him for his latest movie, Jay Kelly, and I truly admire his professionalism, work ethic, and the amazing human he is," he quipped movingly.
