Congratulations to Princess Iman of Jordan, who is now expecting her second child!

The royal, 29, and her husband, Venezuelan-born financier Jameel Alexander, are already parents to Amina, who was born in February 2025.

It was up to Iman's mother, Queen Rania of Jordan, to reveal the happy news, sharing a post on Instagram.

She wrote: "A new joy on the way... Congratulations to Iman, Jameel and my beloved Amina who is going to be a big sister.

"May Allah keep you safe and sound, Lord. The grandchildren club is growing, and we couldn’t be happier for Iman, Jameel, and soon-to-be big sister Amina!"

The couple looked over the moon in the picture alongside the post. Iman was pictured wearing a long dress, her husband and daughter, who appeared to be reaching down to touch her mother's bump.

The two were pictured together in the shade, the sunshine casting down on the garden behind them.

Expanding their family

According to Jordanian royal prerogative, the couple's new baby will likely not bear an official title. This is because the House of Hashim's style is traditionally passed down from father to son.

Amina, the couple’s first child, was born just one month after Rania revealed that her daughter and son-in-law were expecting their first baby.

Delighted, Rania shared the proud news on Instagram, writing: "My darling Iman is now a mother. We’re grateful and overjoyed to meet Amina, our family’s newest blessing. Congratulations Jameel and Iman – may God bless you and your precious little girl."

The name Amina translates from the Arabic as 'honest', 'faithful', and 'safe one'.

Rania's grandchildren

Iman's baby will be Queen Rania and King Abdullah's third grandchild after the birth of Amina, as well as Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa, who announced the birth of their first child in August 2024.

Princess Iman is the eldest daughter of King Abdullah and Queen Rania, who share four children.

Iman married her venture capitalist husband in March 2023. She looked every bit the fairytale bride during the nuptials, stunning in a white Dior gown with a lace veil and a sparkling Chaumet tiara.
