Prince Harry has appeared on US television to talk about the World Cup, being interviewed by long-time pal, James Corden. James was hosting a show called After Hours on Fox, dedicated to post-World Cup match debriefs with celebrity guests. Did this special gig indicate James Corden's U-turn on his big UK move?

The series was 24 episodes in total over the course of the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament, and would have required James to live back in the US for filming - a place he once called home but left in 2023 to bring his family back to the UK. The World Cup lasted for six weeks, coming to a conclusion on Sunday 19 July. It's not the first time James has accepted work back in the US, as last year he took on a stateside play called Art, which also required him to head back across the pond for a significant three-month stint.

Toll on family life

James relocated to the UK from the US with his wife Julia and his three children: Max, Carey, and Charlotte, after hosting The Late Late Show for eight years. At the time, he said: "The reason to leave is we're a long way from home in Los Angeles. And there [are] people at home that are getting older, and we want our kids to know them and be around them."

He has admitted that the split living situation for work purposes has taken its toll on the family, though, branding it "hard." At the time of his aforementioned play, James spoke to People magazine and said: "It's hard, but very lucky we were here for the whole time of rehearsals and they'll be back out for a couple of weeks in October. I get to go home, actually, this weekend because I had something I was already booked to do before this arrived, so ... it's okay, we're getting through it."

Trouble in paradise?

James' UK move hasn't been easy, and that's due to neighbourhood disputes at his London property. The family purchased a £11.5 million townhouse in the coveted North London area of Belsize Park, Hampstead, and ever since moving in, they have warred with locals. There has been back-and-forth with the council over new paving installed on James' property, and the size of their proposed extensions caused even more of an uproar locally, but the plans have been approve
