Princess Eugenie, 36, welcomed her daughter, Adelaide, in August this year and on Monday 12 October, the royal shared a sweet family video on Instagram showing her husband Jack Brooksbank cradling their tiny newborn and rubbing her back.
Adelaide, whose full name is Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank, was born in Portugal as that is where Eugenie and her family have a property. However, they also have a base in England, and the clip could reveal that they have travelled back to the UK. The cosy bedroom where the video is filmed with green trees outside could well be within Ivy Cottage, which is their royal home set within Kensington Palace grounds.
Eugenie posted the video to celebrate her eighth wedding anniversary with husband Jack, where she praised him for being the "best Dad" too. She penned: "Happy 8 years married my love. What you can't hear in this video is Jack asking our daughter if she likes her head being massaged that way... so thoughtful, caring, and best Dada there is to our 3. Couldn't have wished for a better partner."
Split living situation
Eugenie broke with tradition when she gave birth in Portugal, clearly showing her love for the country where she spends half of the year. In 2022, Jack accepted a role with the Discovery Land Company, based at the CostaTerra Golf & Ocean Club in Portugal, which is why they now have a much-loved base there.
Her children adore it too, and when Eugenie spoke to HELLO! in 2024, she revealed their favourite pastimes. “They love swimming. The sea in Portugal is a little bit rougher. So we've got our feet in, but Augie is a fish. He literally loves it and we have whales and dolphins all across the walls," she said.
Adelaide's grandparents

It is not known if the grandparents have met their granddaughter yet, but it is believed they would have at this stage. Their other grandchildren include August and Earnest, Princess Eugenie's sons, and Princess Beatrice's daughters, Sienna and Athena.
Sarah in particular has been very vocal about her cherished grandmother role in the past. During a chat with Metro, Sarah gushed: "I read them bedtime stories. August is such a little chap, and I'm playing trucks with him – but if he prefers to play with Barbie dolls in the future, that's fine."
