The Princess of Wales's mother Carole Middleton knows how to throw a party, having run her own Party Pieces business for over 30 years.

With Halloween coming up and Prince William and Kate's children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis enjoying the October half-term – will their grandmother Carole have something fun planned?

The Middleton matriarch, 68, shared her plans for last Halloween in an Instagram post.

The image showed Carole wearing a cosy striped knit and blue jeans, with the caption: "Halloween is an Autumn highlight for me. I can still remember the fun and frights from my own childhood; the chance to dress up, decorate pumpkins and go trick-or-treating! I've even grown my own pumpkins this year, so I'm looking forward to decorating those with my loved ones."

Carole and her husband Michael reside at Bucklebury Manor in Berkshire – a short drive from William and Kate's Windsor abode, Adelaide Cottage.

The Grade II-listed Georgian property boasts 18 acres of grounds, so plenty of space for some pumpkin picking!

As well as William and Kate's three children, Carole and Michael are also parents to second daughter Pippa and her husband James Matthews' kids – Arthur, Grace and Rose.

And there will be an exciting addition to the Middleton family in the coming months as Carole and Michael's youngest child, James, is expecting his first baby with wife Alizee Thevenet.

James and Alizee announced their happy news back in July, in a sweet snap where the glowing mum-to-be was joined by two of their beloved pet dogs.

The Princess of Wales's younger brother, 36, married French financial analyst Alizee on 11 September 2021 in Bormes-les-Mimosas, France, with HELLO! sharing world exclusive photographs from their nuptials.

Parents-to-be James and Alizee celebrated their second wedding anniversary during a sun-soaked romantic getaway by the sea in September.

"Happy Anniversary my darling. Two years married and I couldn’t be more in love with you and still, the best is yet to come…" he wrote in an Instagram post.

Carole founded her party supplies business, Party Pieces, in 1987, with all three children helping out at the company through the years.

But Party Pieces was sold to entrepreneur James Sinclair in June, after falling into administration.

The Middletons have attended many major royal events in the 12 years that Kate has been married to William, including the late Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022 and King Charles' coronation in May.
