Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi took royal fans by surprise on Friday when the couple made a low-key appearance at the Cornbury House Horse Trials.

The Cornbury House Horse Trials are typically held between 9 and 12 September, with royals often attending, including Zara Tindall and the Duchess of Edinburgh.

Beatrice and Edoardo looked so in love for their date, with the couple snuggling into each other on one occasion. They were also seen smiling as they walked around the Trials, which are held in Oxfordshire.

Beatrice looked like the 'Lady of the Manor', as she wore a dramatic black lace dress alongside a pair of Givenchy boots for her outing. Meanwhile, Edoardo looked incredibly smart in a blue shirt and matching waistcoat, alongside a pair of chinos.

The pair weren't the only royals at the event this time, with both Zara and Duchess Sophie making an appearance for the event's third day.

Looking resplendent, Zara donned a pair of dark denim barrel jeans, brown boots, a denim shirt, and a fabulous barn jacket by Fairfax & Favor. Meanwhile, Sophie looked as gorgeous as ever in a camel-toned textured skirt, a white shirt, and a ruffled jacket, also in khaki green, and a pair of terracotta cowboy boots.

However, back in March, that rumours of marital strife between the pair were "not true at all", saying they were navigating "busy jobs and looking after their children".

Edoardo also seemed to quash the rumours when he paid tribute to his "love" when the royal celebrated her 38th birthday last month.

The Italian property mogul shared a photo of the couple together during a sunset, with the sea stretching out behind them. He left a simple dedication to the royal, who is the eldest daughter of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson. "Happy birthday my love," he said in all-caps.
