Charlie’s Angels stars Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson delighted fans this week as they reunited for a red carpet appearance in New York City.
The beloved television icons attended the 2026 Paley Honors Spring Gala at The Plaza Hotel on May 14, posing together for photos more than four decades after they first became household names on the hit crime drama.
Kate, 77, embraced understated glamour in a silky cream ensemble featuring delicate ruffle detailing and a softly tailored jacket. She wore her signature brunette hair in a sleek shoulder-length style and accessorised the timeless look with subtle jewellery and natural makeup.
Now 80, Jaclyn looked effortlessly elegant in a black satin blazer layered over a dark blouse and patterned trousers featuring colorful embroidered detailing. She completed the chic outfit with layered necklaces and her trademark feathered blonde hairstyle, smiling warmly beside her former co-star.
Charlie’s Angels originally premiered in 1976 and quickly became one of the defining television shows of the era.
The series followed three glamorous private investigators working for the mysterious Charlie Townsend, whose voice was heard but whose face was never shown. Jaclyn famously played Kelly Garrett, the stylish and athletic Angel who remained with the series for its entire five-season run. Kate starred as Sabrina Duncan, the intelligent and level-headed member of the original trio.
Alongside the late Farrah Fawcett as Jill Munroe, the actresses helped turn the show into a worldwide phenomenon, blending action, mystery and fashion in a way that transformed television at the time.
While Farrah left after the first season, Jaclyn became the only original Angel to stay until the show ended in 1981, cementing her place as one of the franchise’s most enduring stars.
Both actresses went on to enjoy long Hollywood careers after the series wrapped. Jaclyn found success in television movies and later became a hugely successful businesswoman with her fashion and home collections, while Kate earned acclaim for projects including Scarecrow and Mrs. King and several award-winning dramatic roles.
Despite their shared television history, public reunions between the pair have remained relatively rare in recent years, making Thursday’s appearance especially meaningful for fans who grew up watching the iconic show.
The event itself celebrated achievements in media and television through The Paley Center for Media, which regularly honours influential performers and creators who have shaped entertainment history.
