Adele and Rich Paul are notoriously private about their five-year relationship, but the sports agent has offered fans a glimpse into their romance.
The 45-year-old shared an insight into the early days of his relationship with the global superstar, revealing that they had a "cordial" friendship before it became more.
Rich said he had known Adele "for some time" before their relationship progressed "organically" after they were introduced "through a friend."
'You know, just when you're in these circles, man, you're in these circles. But I never tried to get fresh with people that's in comfortable circles because they always have to deal with that, so that was never my thing," he explained during an appearance on Craig Melvin's Glass Half Full podcast.
"It was really something that happened very organically, really," he added, explaining that they became closer after running into each other on several occasions.
"We’re all in the same vicinity, we're all in the same circles, and, you know, we're hanging and whatnot," he said.
"We just used to always see each other, laugh and joke. It was just cordial, really, just cordial," he added, before noting, "Until it became not so cordial," and he became a "person of interest" for Adele.
The "Someone Like You" singer previously revealed that she met Rich at a party in 2019, but it was in 2021 that their friendship turned into more, and they were pictured at an NBA game together.
Revealing what first attracted her to Rich, Adele told Vogue in October 2021: "He's just so [expletive] funny," she said, before adding: "He was dancing. All the other guys were just sitting around. He was just dancing away."
In August 2024, Adele confirmed that she and Rich were engaged after a fan proposal at her concert in Munich, Germany.
After she noticed a fan's sign that read, "Will you marry me?" she politely replied: "I can't marry you because I'm already getting married so I can't, but I appreciate it. Thank you!"
Two years earlier, she made her desire to tie the knot clear, telling Elle magazine that she "absolutely" wants to get married and have children with Rich.
"I've never been in love like this," she gushed. "I'm obsessed with him. I definitely want more kids. I'm a homemaker and I'm a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music."
Adele has been more vocal about her love for Rich, telling fans at one of her Weekend with Adele Las Vegas residency shows on his birthday: "I love him more than life itself, so can we wish him happy birthday? His name's Rich!"
She has also made no secret of wanting to have another child after welcoming her son, Angelo, 13, with her ex-husband, Simon Konecki. Rich is also a dad of three.
"I really want to be a mom again soon, so I've actually been writing a list [of baby names]," she said during one of her shows. "Every time I see a name that I like, I write it down on my phone."
