Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are celebrating a big family birthday – their son, Travis Bacon, turned 37 on June 23.
To mark the big day, both Kevin, 67, and Kyra, 60, shared several throwbacks with their baby boy, with the latter including photos that captured his distinct sense of style from a very young age.
"Happy Birthday Travy True - so proud of you," she captioned her post, which included a snap from a red carpet appearance together, one of a young Travis sporting pink and blonde highlights, one shredding his guitar, one with Kevin and his sister Sosie, 34, and one that showed just where Travis got his looks from.
In the throwback, a toddler Travis sat on the couch beside his Footloose star dad, who sported shoulder-length dark brown hair similar to Travis' own locks now.
Kevin himself took it a step further, sharing a photo of himself holding a newborn Travis with both sticking out their tongues. "Happy birthday to our beautiful son! All my love, Dad," he captioned it, to which Travis quipped in response: "Uncanny."
Sosie posted a few photos of herself with Travis as well, writing alongside them: "Happy birthday to my bro-her. Best friend. Best uncle extraordinaire. And as always, fellow volume eater. ILYSM."
The Bacon family share an extremely tight bond, often working together both on and off-screen as well. Travis works primarily as a composer and musician, performing in the goth-metal band Contracult and dubbing his personal style as "Industrial Blues." Sosie, like her parents, is primarily an actress, last appearing in the film Cold Storage.
Both Travis and Sosie will be starring alongside their parents in the upcoming horror-comedy Family Movie, which the entire family also executive produced. Per an official logline: "A filmmaking family finds themselves in a real-life horror movie when a body turns up on the set of their low-budget slasher, forcing them to cover up the murder to keep filming."
The movie premiered at SXSW in March and will be released in theatres either in October 2026 or February 2027, per Kyra herself. "It's so rare that you get to see your adult children in the world in a work situation," she remarked during an appearance on NBC's TODAY recently.
"First of all, I can't believe that they actually said yes, that they wanted to do the movie!" Kyra quipped, adding: "They can definitely say no to mom and dad! And also, they're in their 30s, so they can do anything."
"It's extraordinary to see them be good colleagues and really good actors and it was super fun," she added, promising that it will be a "great" movie experience for viewers when it is out on the big screen. Speaking exclusively with HELLO! at the TriBeCa Film Festival in 2022, Kyra confirmed why she enjoys working with her family so much.
"It's a little nepotism, but it's always worth it," she told us. "They're amazing at what they do, and they know my brain. So it's nice."
