Inside Constance Wu's personal life
Outside of work, Constance is a mom of two with her boyfriend Ryan Kattner, 45, the frontman of the band Mad Man. While she has yet to share the names of her children publicly, she has shared their genders.
Her daughter was born in August 2020 and her son was born three years later in July 2023. Constance announced the birth of her baby girl while on The Tonight Show. "I had a beautiful baby girl in August. She's the best, she's the best. She has a full head of hair. She has a blue butt," she told host Jimmy Fallon.
For people in the crowd confused by her "blue butt" comment, Constance explained: "Apparently, it happens in a lot of Asian babies, and my boyfriend and I are both Asian. He actually wrote a song about her blue butt. So, that will be on his next album."
And, while appearing on the PRETTYSMART podcast, Constance revealed the news by saying: "Breaking news, nobody knew I had a son."
And while she doesn't share photos of her kids online, she does share tidbits of her tight knit family. In February 2026, she posted a selfie to Instagram of her wearing a KPop Demon Hunters t-shirt with the caption: "My 5 year old daughter chose my outfit today. Mamas, are your kids as obsessed with @kpopdemonhuntersnetflix as my kids are? 'Golden' is like their 'Let It Go' which was like our 'Part of Your World.'"
And in May, the proud mom shared a few of her kids' favorite books, from The Duckling Gets a Cookie to Digging for Words.
