Good Morning America star Ginger Zee showcased her svelte frame in a brightly patterned summer dress on Wednesday, as she worked to cool off during the heatwave in New York City. The 45-year-old looked stunning in the sleeveless dress, which featured a black and red floral pattern on white fabric. The dress fell to just above her knees, and she paired the look with a top knot and dainty jewelry.

Beside her stood her fellow GMA meteorologist Somara Theodore in a black knitted dress with a white collar and long sleeves, and newscaster Leslie Lopez in a beige pantsuit with a vest and a white tank top.

"First time this power trio gets together, and it's no surprise it's on one of the hottest days of the year, and smoke is filling the air…weather headlines are our thing! Meteorology mammas right here on @abcnews," Ginger wrote in the caption, as fans rushed to the comment section to exclaim over the brunette beauty's fashion sense.

"The dress today [is] absolutely cute," wrote one, while another said: "You look extremely beautiful," and a third chimed in: "Love your dress!" The mother of two recently revealed that she hadn't bought new clothes in over four years in an effort to fight the ongoing fast fashion crisis.

"If you think data and facts about heat get people all worked up…imagine their disdain when I emphasize my anti-consumerism practice of going four plus years without buying new clothing," she wrote on Instagram. "Dress today is an oldie but a goodie I've had for at least eight years. #nonewclothes."

Ginger included a collage of herself wearing the yellow dress on various occasions over the past eight years. The TV personality, who is a fierce climate activist, has been part of the #NoNewClothes Challenge for several years and shared with People just how important it was to break the fast fashion cycle.

"There's such beauty in fashion, but boy do we have a broken system," Ginger said. "The least I can do is to just raise the awareness."

"We don't want to take away the creative license and the beauty of fashion, but there's a real choice of need versus want without much thought about what this is doing to the world," she continued. "If we can get to a mass change, then the companies that are making the clothing can change the way that they're doing it. Because I don't want fashion to stop. We don't want it to just die. It's important."

Ginger works hard to raise awareness around climate change and global warming, and is teaching her young sons, Adrian and Miles, how to care for the planet in their own way.

"We already drive an electric vehicle so we've been talking about it for as long as I can remember, and composting is not something their friends do so they already know we live a different lifestyle," she told HELLO!

"We talk about it every single day – my kids can't take a bite of something without me talking about where it came from. The big thing is also single-use water bottles, and it needs to be rethought, and the best time to teach that is when they are five."
