Soleil Moon Frye became a beloved '80s star when she appeared in the hit sitcom Punky Brewster as the lead character Penelope. Years later, the now 50-year-old actress is a mom of four and works as a film director.

SeanFrye is Soleil's half-brother. The two share the same dad, actor VirgilFrye. Sean, who is nine years older than Soleil, was a child actor just like his little sister. He starred in films like Fun with Dick and Jane, E.T., and This Is Spinal Tap.
But, Sean's claim to fame came in 1988 when he starred alongside Brat Pack actress Molly Ringwald in For Keeps, a coming of age comedy about teen pregnancy.
The now 59-year-old actor's last feature film was in 1988 with Molly. Sean left the industry and has lived a private life. He started working in social work and community health support following the deaths of two close friends.
Sean was briefly married to RitaTrinidad, but the two split in 1988. Several years later, he met his now-husband, MichaelAlexander when the latter issued Sean a parking ticket in West Hollywood. Sean and Michael are parents to son LoganFryeAlexander, who they adopted in 2003.
Soleil's other half-brother, Miro Fiore "Meeno" Peluce, was a child actor too. Soleil is related to Meeno through her mom, SondraLondy. During the early '70s, when Meeno was a young kid, he appeared in several hit shows – Starsky & Hutch, Kojak, The Incredible Hulk, and The Amityville Horror. In 1979, he was a series regular in the sitcom, The Bad News Bears.
Meeno's last major role was in an episode of 1984's Silver Spoons. Afterwards, he went on to attend UC Santa Cruz and worked as a history teacher at Hollywood High School.
Meeno took a 14-year hiatus before returning in 1998 to co-write and co-produce Wild Horses alongside his little sister Soleil, who directed the film. The film followed a group of teenagers who believe they only have 24 hours left to live and then live life to the fullest and starred actors like Scott Caan and Danny Masterson.
After working with her half-brother, Soleil continued to direct. In 2004, she was behind the film Sonny Boy, which focused on her troubled relationship with her father who was suffering from Alzheimer's disease. And in 2025, Soleil directed The Carters: Hurts to Love You, about Nick and Aaron Carter's devastating health battles through their sister Angel's eyes.
