It has been nearly three decades since Sabrina the Teenage Witch first flew onto television screens, and fans of the teen series might do a double take seeing its resident heartthrob today.
Nate Richert played the sweet and swoon-worthy boyfriend of Melissa Joan Hart's witch character, but despite the show's success, he stepped away from full-time acting.
While he still has that beaming smile and bubbling personality, gone is his floppy 90s hair and boy-next-door wardrobe. Instead, Nate sports a shaved head and favors a flat cap.
He left the spotlight and found work as a janitor
© Disney General Entertainment ConAfter Sabrina the Teenage Witch wrapped after seven seasons in 2003, Nate found steady acting gigs were hard to come by in Hollywood.
He addressed the harsh realities of the entertainment industry when he revealed he'd taken any jobs he could to make ends meet.
"I'm extremely lucky to have had any success at all, let alone solid work in film and TV for six years (20 years ago)," he wrote on X in 2018.
"I'm currently a maintenance man, a janitor, a carpenter, and do whatever odd jobs I can to pay the bills. I do improv and songwriting to maintain my sanity. Actors so very rarely have job security or consistent work, quality healthcare, a reasonable retirement."

© Getty ImagesNate has never lost his passion for the arts. He now focuses primarily on his music career and is an accomplished singer-songwriter and musician, releasing vintage-inspired folk and Americana albums.
He also launched a podcast with his co-star from the show, Curtis Andersen, titled The Nate & Curtis Show.
Nate regularly delights nostalgic fans by reuniting with his former Sabrina co-stars at popular fan conventions like 90s Con.
The Sabrina the Teenage Witch 30th anniversary tour

It will kick off on Halloween in Beverly, Massachusetts, and go on to Detroit, Michigan, Orlando, Florida, and Fresno, California and more.

Does he have a partner?
Nate eloped with actress and model, Malorie Felt, in 2019, but they divorced in 2003. He doesn't have any children.
