Beyoncé's mom Tina Knowles has paid a heartfelt tribute to her family following granddaughter Blue Ivy Carter's latest performance.

The Matriarch author couldn't have been prouder of the 14-year-old, who played the piano during Jay-Z's LA concert on October 24 and received a standing ovation from the crowd.

Highlighting her talents in a new post on social media, Tina reflected on just how special Blue was – touching upon Beyoncé and Jay-Z's heartbreaking miscarriage before she was born, as well as highlighting just how much joy all three of their children bring to their lives.

Alongside a re-post from a fan account of Blue performing, Tina wrote: "This is a repost : but it brought tears to my eyes. It reminds me of what a huge blessing it was from God after the miscarriage that Blue was born healthy and beautiful."

"It is a beautiful thing to see how her father celebrated her life in this song, and what joy all of his children bring to him. They are all such a blessing."

Beyoncé and Jay-Z's children

Beyoncé and Jay-Z are the proud parents of 14-year-old Blue Ivy, as well as nine-year-old twins Rumi and Sir.

While they are one of the most famous couples in music, little is known about their private lives – something they are fiercely protective of.

However, now that Blue is older, she's appeared more and more at major public events – including the Met Gala in May – and has performed on stage at both Beyoncé and Jay-Z's concerts.

Proud dad Jay-Z told GQ in March that his daughter loves performing, revealing: "I don't think we're going to be able to get her off that stage now."

Making sure their children stay grounded is incredibly important to the couple too.

Beyoncé also told GQ: "One thing I've worked extremely hard on is making sure my kids can have as much normalcy and privacy as possible, ensuring my personal life isn't turned into a brand. It's very easy for celebrities to turn our lives into performance art. I have made an extreme effort to stay true to my boundaries and protect myself and my family. No amount of money is worth my peace."

Blue Ivy, Rumi and Sir's different personalities

While Beyoncé and Jay-Z don't often talk about their children, their proud grandmother Tina has shared several stories about them over the years, giving an insight into their different personalities.

On Blue, Tina opened up about what she was like during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, joking that she was a "bossy little Capricorn like her grandma," while referencing the teenager's interaction with Beyoncé at the Grammys, where she was seen on camera telling her mom to "get up" when she won her award.

She also previously revealed that Rumi was following in her big sister's footsteps with a love for all things creative, while Sir was more into "numbers."

She told E! News: "Rumi is amazing—an amazing artist, painter, and creator... Sir is very quiet. He does all of the numbers stuff, so he's not into fashion as much." She then added that he was "very, very smart."

While talking to GQ, Beyoncé gave another rare insight into what her three children were like. She said: "Raising three kids isn't easy. The older they get, the more they become their own individuals with unique needs, hobbies, and social lives. My twins are God-sent. Parenting constantly teaches you about yourself. It takes a lot of prayer and patience. I love it. It's grounding and fulfilling."
