Sneaker-clad pallbearers lay DJ AM to rest
Nicole Richie was among guests bidding an emotional farewell to her former fiancé DJ AM at his funeral on Wednesday.
The musician was buried at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary in Los Angeles, with pallbearers dressed in typical DJ gear in a fitting tribute.
The star, real name Adam Goldstein, was found dead in his New York apartment at the weekend.
It has been speculated that the cause of death may have been a drug overdose, after painkillers were found in his stomach and mouth.
Adam, who was 36 when he died, had recently spoken openly about his battles with substance addiction. There were also reports in the US he had been devastated over a break-up with girlfriend Hayley Wood.
The musician survived a plane crash last year that killed four people and seriously injured Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker.
