Giggly graduate June Brown gets to grips with gown
She's far from giggly in her role as grumpy Dot Cotton in EastEnders. But June Brown was all smiles at the University of East London this week.
The actress, a resident of Albert Square since 1985, was awarded an honorary Master of Arts certificate.
And although she looked the part, the soap star seemed to be having a few difficulties with the sleeves of her royal blue gown.
Sharing the ceremony with June and also being awarded a degree was British West End actor Kwame Kwei-Armah, and poet Onyine Oyedele.
