'Doctor Who' tour for new Timelord Matt Smith
New Doctor Who star Matt Smith will be kicking off the new series with a bang.
To introduce himself to the sci-fi programme's fans, Matt - and new companion Karen Gillan - will travel around the UK on a tour bus as part of a BBC TV programme.
The stars will visit Belfast, Inverness, Sunderland, Salford and Northampton while showcasing the first episode of the new series.
"This is a great opportunity for the new doctor and his companion to interface directly with the people who matter most to Doctor Who: the fans," said Piers Wenger, executive producer and head of drama at BBC Wales.
The new series will hit screens at Easter.
