Mel C spices up career with West End part in Blood Brothers

The Spice Girls have each branched out into various fields since the group split up.

There's Posh and Mel B with their lingerie modelling, Emma Bunton with her Strictly stint, Geri's chidren's books and now Mel C is adding to her CV, too.

The former Sporty Spice - who recently welcomed her first daughter Scarlett - has signed up to make her theatrical debut in the West End production of Blood Brothers.

The singer is to play the lead role of Mrs Johnstone in Willy Russell's legendary musical at London's Phoenix Theatre.

Melanie, who also has a fifth album in the pipeline, will tread the boards for the first time on Monday October 26.
