Jessica Alba is taking part in a TV event to promote poetry.
The 30-year-old actress - who is mother to three-year-old Honor Marie and Haven, seven months, with film producer husband Cash Warren - has joined more than a dozen celebrity parents for National Poetry Month in the US.
Readings by Viola Davis and Katie Holmes are also featured in A Poem Is ...., a short-form series that sets verse to classic Disney animation, on the Disney and Disney Junior channels.
Jessica chose a Mexican folk song, De Colores, which means Of Colours, to reflect her Hispanic heritage.
The Sin City star says her own poetry dabblings have taken a sharp turn.
"I have a lot of teen angst on paper," Jessica said. "Now I just kind of make up songs for my girls. I have little poems that I sing to them before they go to sleep, to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star."
