Christina Aguilera has begun filming scenes for her big screen debut in the musical drama Burlesque.
The platinum-haired singer will play "an ambitious small-town girl with a big voice who finds love, family and success in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club."
And playing her mentor in the film is pop superstar Cher.
The cast also includes The Devil Wears Prada actor Stanley Tucci, Kristen Bell, and Alan Cumming.
Grey's Anatomy heartthrob Eric Dane also recently signed with the motion picture.
Steve Antin, brother of Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin, is the writer and director of the film. Erin Brockovich writer Susannah Grant reviewed the script with Christina in mind.
