Robert Pattinson on why he shaved his head

Showing off his new hairstyle on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show this week, Twilight star Robert Pattinson revealed the reason behind his new trim.

"It's three days old," the 24-year-old says. "I got a terrible infestation of nits and I had to shave it all off."

"No, I'm doing a film," he adds, seriously.

Robert begins filming Water for Elephants opposite Reese Witherspoon in California this week.

"It's about a circus in the 1930s," he says of the film, in which he plays a circus worker who falls in love with an older woman, the wife of an animal trainer.
