11 JANUARY 2002
Jennifer Lopez is certainly a superstar, with her latest album topping the charts and three films in the works. But, as these photos show, even J Lo needs a break every now and again.

Seen here on the set of the upcoming crime comedy Gigli, for which she pocketed $12 million plus a percentage of the profits, the sultry star takes a moment out from filming to share a laugh with co-star Ben Affleck. And with a packed slate for 2002, it may be the only reprieve she gets.

The sultry star had discussed taking a well-deserved holiday that would leave her free to enjoy her recent marriage to choreographer Cris Judd. But the actress has signed up to make three films on the trot. Mrs Judd already has Enough, a Michael Apted-directed thriller, in the can. After completing Gigli, she’ll start rehearsals for the romantic comedy The Chambermaid – a modern day Cinderlla story. In June she teams with Samuel L Jackson, playing an FBI agent in the thriller Tick-tock.

Gigli is due to hit cinemas later this year.
