The most memorable pop phenomenon of the Nineties is gearing up to "spice up our lives" one more time. Former Spice Girl Melanie B has revealed that she and the rest of the fab five will be meeting up for a ten-year anniversary concert next summer.
When asked in a TV interview if she and her former bandmates would reunite, the singer said: "I think so, hopefully next year." The performer, who turns 30 next week, revealed the band are already making plans for their comeback bash. "Emma and Melanie have been to visit me and I'm going to be having tea with Geri soon," she explained.
It was previously believed Victoria Beckham was reluctant to take part in a reunion, but Mel seemed to indicate her one-time bandmate had changed her mind. "I haven't seen Victoria because I've been working," she said, "but everything's cool on that front."
Industry experts say all five members would stand to benefit from a comeback gig, as they have struggled in their solo careers. During their reign as the queens of "girl power", however, the band sold over 40 million records worldwide. |
