She's been adopted by Brits as one of their own and now Aussie superstar Kylie Minogue is set to return the compliment by performing in a one-off London concert on New Year's Eve.
"I've been to some great New Year's parties over the years and I can't wait to host what will be the biggest party of all," says the diminutive singer. Kylie will take to the stage at Wembley Arena where a dancefloor with capacity for 3,500 revellers will be built especially for the show. It will be her first UK gig since the singer was diagnosed as suffering from cancer last May.
Comeback queen Kylie has had a euphoric return to the showbiz scene. The newly announced concert date follows on from her hugely successful Showgirl Homecoming tour in Australia last month. Tickets for the New Year's Eve bash, which will also feature Abba tribute band Bjorn Again, go on sale on Thursday, December 14.
