Sofia Richie, 24, is counting down the days until her wedding with fiancé Elliot Grainge, and she has made one big life change ahead of the big day.
Lionel Richie's daughter, who spent two years at Oaks Christian school, took to Instagram on Monday to reveal she has converted to Judaism, which is her husband-to-be Elliot's faith. Sofia was pictured smiling as she sat at a table in front of sacred texts, alongside the caption: "What a magical day. I want to thank cantor Nathan Lam for helping me along this journey of converting to Judaism.
"It has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. Today was that day!!!"
Lucian Grainge's son Elliot, meanwhile, has previously opened up about his Jewish upbringing – even revealing that he had a famous band perform at his bar mitzvah!

"Take That played at my bar mitzvah! They were No. 1 in the UK at the time. The party was great fun and gave me a real taste of how to create an exciting party," he said in an interview with the Jewish Boston.
Sofia was first linked to music executive Elliot in January 2021 after she split from Scott Disick. They got engaged at the Four Seasons Hualalai in April 2022, and they shared the news by posting a series of photos on social media.
"Forever isn’t long enough @elliot," the model captioned the pictures, which showed the newly engaged couple surrounded by white flowers and candles on Kona island.
American Idol judge Lionel opened up about Elliot's nerves ahead of his proposal. "He was a nervous wreck, poor guy," Lionel told Access Hollywood. "I thought he was going to pass out, but he survived it. I was going to rib him a little bit, but I didn’t want to play, he was going to faint."
He added: "I love Elliot, known him since he was 12, how about that? So, it’s one of those things where I don’t have to go back and check out the kid, I know who he is."
The couple recently celebrated their upcoming wedding at a bridal shower with their friends and family, which saw Sofia wearing a bridal white knit halterneck dress from the Chanel Cruise 2022 runway teamed with effortless beachy waves and sunglasses.
Sofia's latest update about her Judaism journey is likely an indication that her upcoming wedding will be Jewish. She wouldn't be the only star to celebrate with a Jewish ceremony, following in the footsteps of the likes of Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham and Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher.
