Reese Witherspoon has shared a rare picture of her older brother to celebrate his birthday. John has kept out of the limelight and Reese only occasionally shares pictures of him to celebrate a special moment.
On Tuesday, that special moment was his birthday and she posted a sweet snap of the two at a restaurant with a big cake on the table in front of them.

"Happy Birthday to the best BIG brother a girl could ask for," she captioned the post, adding: "Always being there for me & my kids. Being my biggest supporter since Day 1. Love you, Brother John!"
Reese had a big smile on her face in the snap, dressed casually in a black floral top and black cardigan, while John kept it equally casual in a polo shirt.
Earlier in the year Reese paid tribute to John on national sibling day, taking to social media and writing: "My Brother John taught me so much about how to explore the world. As kids, we were always exploring and looking for new adventures," she captioned the selfie.
"Wherever we were, whether it was in the woods or at a go kart track or white water rafting, he encouraged me to be strong & fearless."
Fans loved the snap between the siblings
She added: "My biggest supporter and cheering section since day one. I love you, Big Bro!"
Reese is a proud mother to her sons Deacon, 17, and Tennessee, eight, and daughter Ava and although she keeps her younger children out of the spotlight, she often shares photos or videos of Ava, who is 21.
However, she will occasionally post glimpses of their life together to Instagram from the seven-bedroom house she and husband Jim Toth purchased in March 2020 for $15.9million, described as "one of the most private properties on LA's Westside."
