Alex Scott headed to New York this week

Following the event, the former Strictly Come Dancing star wasted no time and headed to a rooftop bar that featured incredible views of the city.

Before showing her followers the stunning vista in a brief video, she posed up a storm for a photo showing her from the side whilst doing a peace sign for the camera.

Alex's trip comes at a very exciting time for the presenter, who will be publishing her very first book in just one month.

The BBC presenter met tennis ace Naomi Osaka

The book promises to explore a never-before-seen version of herself as she opens up about "how she's tackled life's challenges and that sometimes the strongest thing you can do is show your most vulnerable side to the world".

The star first announced the big news in February this year. Speaking about it, she told her followers: "Ok soooooooo…. I can't believe this is even a thing BUT I'm writing a book!!! Argggggggg.. ASIF!!! I'm actually going to be a @penguinukbooks author!"

She continued: "I just want to say you have all been so supportive of my journey from football to presenting, Bear Grylls, Strictly and more. I feel the time is right, I want to share more about my life and what's shaped me. I've always shown a strong side, but I'm ready to lower that protective shield.

"Life has taught me showing vulnerability and not hiding flaws can be the bravest thing you can do."
