Actor Kevin Bacon has been blissfully married to his director wife Kyra Sedgwick for over 35 years.
Yet on Wednesday night during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Kimmel, the Footloose star revealed the one occasion where he just couldn’t make his wife happy.
During filming their latest movie Space Oddity, where Kyra directs and Kevin stars, the 64-year-old was unable to please his wife while delivering the one line “Okay.”
“In her mind, she had some other idea and it wasn’t what I was delivering. And take after take she was like Kev it’s not quite what I was thinking,” he confessed.
“I got to the point where I was like, honey just give me the line where it’s cool! So she said in her mind exactly how she wanted me to say it and I said it how I thought it was exactly how she wanted me to say it, and she was like, yeah…mmm, I think we got it,” he added jokingly.
The interview came days after the pair admitted the secret to keeping their marriage alive.
Speaking exclusively to People the couple shared the sweet reason behind the longevity of their relationship, Kyra said: "A sense of humor is crucial. He is very freaking funny."
Kevin also revealed that it was love at first sight as soon as he laid eyes on her. "I was knocked out," he gushed. "I thought she was amazing."

However, Kyra admitted that she had been a little 'put off' by Kevin, but decided to agree to a date with the Apollo 13 star which swayed her opinion.
"I remember waking up and going, 'I feel like home,'" she recalled. "I realized, 'Oh, that was him.'"
