Alison Hammond has hit back at critics of her age gap relationship, insisting that their romance has "nothing to do with anyone else". The This Morning host, 51, recently opened up about her romance with David Putnam, 28, once again defending their 22-year age gap and denying claims that he is her "toyboy".
Alison said she and David, a Russian model and massage therapist, are still going strong three years after after they started dating in 2023. But while their "special" romance continues to blossom, the TV host maintained that she "didn't think" marriage was on the cards.
"We don't need to! We're both cool," she told the Daily Mirror. Speaking fondly of her beau, Alison insisted she had a "lovely man," and their relationship was "just easy".
"I think that's when you know you've got something special. He just sees me for who I am. We choose each other, every day."

Alison and David's love story
The happy couple first locked eyes in 2023 when Alison booked a massage with David. They immediately hit it off and found themselves falling in love.
While Alison mostly keeps their romance out of the limelight, she has on a few occasions shared snaps of their relationship on social media.

"I can see how, on paper, you’d notice the age difference. But honestly, when we see the word ‘toyboy’ written about us, it bears no relation to what we have at all," she said.
"Yes, I’m 22 years older than he is, but if you saw us together, you’d understand. People have said to me: ‘We get it now."
