Sean Bean is no stranger to standing at the altar. The Game of Thrones star, 67, has said 'I do' five times since 1981, and while he's currently happily married to his fifth wife, Ashley Moore, he doesn't regret any of his previous weddings.
During a 2022 interview with The Times, Sean admitted that he's "obviously experienced more marriages than most people."
"I suppose there is that romantic in me, otherwise, I wouldn't keep doing it," he continued. "But I don't regret anything. I'd live it all again."
Reflecting on his marriages, Sean confessed that he could have dated his wives for longer before walking down the aisle. "I suppose I could have seen how things developed, got to know them better before taking the plunge," he told the publication. "But I didn't because I felt strongly about all these women; otherwise, I wouldn’t have married them."
Sean Bean's ex-wives
Sean's first marriage was with his childhood sweetheart, Debra James. The pair tied the knot back in 1981 when the actor was just 21 years old and split seven years later in 1988.
He went on to marry fellow actor Melanie Hill in 1990 after they met at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). During their marriage, they welcomed two daughters, Lorna and Molly, before going their separate ways in 1997.
Later that year, Sean went on to marry his Sharpe co-star Abigail Cruttenden and they welcomed their daughter, Evie, in 1998. The couple split in 2000.
Sean's fourth wife is the actress Georgina Sutcliffe, whom he met in 2003 at a West End theatre where he was playing Macbeth and Georgina was managing the bar. The pair tied the knot in February 2008, but separated two years later in 2010.
Sean Bean's fifth wife, Ashley Moore
Sean has been married to his fifth wife Ashley Moore since February 2018. The couple said 'I do' at Axnoller Farm in Dorset, with only 40 of their closest friends and family in attendance.
Chatting to The Daily Mail ahead of the wedding, Sean said: "I wasn't planning on getting married again. But then I wasn't planning on meeting someone as amazing as Ashley. I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together."
Gushing over his bride, who is 26 years his junior, Sean told The Times: "She's full of life. Exuberant. Very positive energy. We've been together nearly seven years now and, you know, as I said, she's been around the acting game."
