Taking to Instagram stories, Hailey, 23, gave her fans a sneak peek into her diet, only to find herself defending her food choices.

She snapped a photo of her dinner and captioned it: “trying homemade spicy tuna on crispy rice today" but then to preempt anyone from pointing out tuna isn’t plant-based the star added: "and before anyone asks yes, I’m still eating primarily plant-based but I have yet to give up sushi and honestly don’t think I ever will."

As if to defend herself further Hailey also post a picture of her "plant-based soup for dinner" describing it as "delish”.

Hailey has always tried to follow a healthy, balanced diet and confessed to Elle U.S in 20916 that her standard daily meal plan was "eggs or oatmeal, some type of healthy protein or a smoothie" for breakfast.

Lunch comprised of "salad, fish, grilled veggies or maybe a sandwich" and dinner would be “along the same lines" as her lunch.
But after her husband Justin Bieber, 26, was diagnosed with Lymes Disease earlier this year, she revealed that they were both making eating clean a priority.

Hailey works hard to stay in shape

It certainly looks like it suits them too as they’ve both flooded their social media pages with happy and healthy photos of each other during their recent cross country road trip.

They even got baptised in a lake together, an experience Justin called: "one of the most special moments of my life."

The pair officially got married in a New York City courthouse in 2018 but then tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in South Carolina in September 2019, surrounded by friends and family.

Although Hailey has confessed: "Marriage is hard," there is no denying how happy they look together.
