Loose Women has recruited a new panellist – and she has already gone down a treat with viewers! Former Pop Idol winner Michelle McManus made her debut on the ITV daytime show on Monday, joined by Christine Lampard, Coleen Nolan and Saira Khan. Dressed in a stylish velvet skater dress, and the star was soon inundated with compliments from fans on social media, with many asking Michelle where the statement piece was from. The berry dress featured intricate embroidery across the bodice and skirt, a round neck and a peplum hem, and costs £145 from Frock and Frill Plus on ASOS.

It seems as if Michelle was just as happy with her first day on the show, with the 37-year-old taking to Twitter to thanks fans for their positive comments. She wrote: "Thank you so much for all of the beautiful comments re my ‪@loosewomen appearance today. It was fantastic to be on the panel with such amazing ladies I had the loveliest time . For those asking my dress is from ‪@asos ‪#curve." Michelle will now be joining the Loose Women panel every Monday.

Michelle's stylish dress was from ASOS and cost £145

Michelle – who shot to fame 14 years ago after winning Pop Idol - has enjoyed an exciting few years, having tied the knot with husband Jeff Nimmo in September. The singer revealed that the pair had got married on Twitter after sharing some pictures from their big day. She wrote: "So......@jnim86 and I had a lovely wee weekend. Love from the new Mr & Mrs Nimmo." The following day, Michelle added: "Well I guess it's true....All you need is love after all #The Nimmo's #Mallaig2017 #HighlandHoolie @jnim86."

To mark the end of the year, Michelle posted more stunning wedding photos on her Twitter account, citing 2017 as the "best year ever". She wrote: "2017 = Best year ever. Thank you for all your wonderful support again this year and I wish you and yours nothing but love and happiness for 2018. All the best when it comes. Xxxx."
