Hard man Vinnie brings serious 'attitude' to catwalk

As he paced menacingly along the runway with a grimace on his face and a plaster covering a gash on his eye, screen hard man Vinnie Jones looked as though he'd walked straight off the set of one of his gangster movies. In fact, the footballer-turned-actor was helping showcase the latest offerings from French fashion label Ed Hardy at a fashion show in California.

While the bad boy attitude was appropriately convincing, the cut on the Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels star's face was fake - painted on by make-up artists behind the scenes.

Forty-two-year-old Vinnie isn't the first famous name to step out in French designer Christian Audigier's tattoo-inspired designs. Trend-setter Madonna has also been spotted wearing one of the distinctive tees, as has Heather Mills.

Last October Sir Paul's estranged wife was snapped in an Ed Hardy t-shirt emblazoned with the words 'Love Kills Slowly'. She'd adopted a more upbeat message a few weeks later though when she donned an Ed Hardy jacket bearing the slogan 'Dedicated To The One I Love'.

The catwalk is not the only place where dad-of-two Vinnie will be making an impression this year. He's currently lensing Rush Hour 3 and Midnight Meat Train, and has another five movies in the pipeline.
