Age-defying Helen Mirren, 81, dazzles in glitterball gown as she ends Tom Hardy feud speculation

Reconciliation has never looked so good. Helen Mirren was a Hollywood goddess on Thursday night when she graced the red carpet in a glitterball dress of dreams. 

Stepping out at the series two premiere of Moland in the British capital, the Prime Suspect star, 81, slipped into a spangled Jenny Packham masterpiece complete with striking structured shoulder pads and silver sparkles from head to toe.

Helen's trademark ice-grey were immaculately blowdried, allowing her diamond drop earrings to take centre stage. 

On the red carpet, the Thursday Murder Club actress posed for photos with fellow Hollywood stars Pierce Brosnan and Tom Hardy, putting a full stop to months of speculation that they were involved in an ongoing feud over the latest series of the Paramount+ show.

The Guy Ritchie crime series, made headlines during filming for its upcoming second series over reported tension between Tom and cast and crew.

The Peaky Blinders actor was rumoured to have kept Pierce and Helen waiting on set, was accused of clashing with the co-creators of the show, Ronan Bennett and Jez Butterworth.

Rumours of a feud between the pair first emerged in May when it was initially announced that Hardy would not be returning for season three.

But Helen tried to put a stop to reports of tension, and shared a photo of Tom on Instagram, writing: "Love you now and always, Helen."

On Thursday night, the pair were seen looking happier than ever, and enjoyed a long embrace on the red carpet, no doubt in an attempt to quash any doubts that they were on bad terms.

Pierce says Tom Hardy feud was 'a storm in a teacup'

At the premiere, James Bond star Pierce Brosnan was asked about the reported feud, which he called "a storm in a teacup."

The Mamma Mia actor told the Press Association: "Oh my God, it was a storm in a teacup, really.

"I love the dude. I love Tom Hardy. I’m a massive fan of the man’s work. Truly. We are rock solid as a company, as a family.

"Everyone shows up for work, and everybody’s just there on the spot. It moves very fast, so it’s not like we go out and socialise and go to the pub or anything like that.

"Everyone goes home to their families, and before you know it, you’ve done 10 episodes."
