Some of the most talked about models in history have boarded a private jet and are gearing up for the annual Victoria's Secret Show – to be held in London for the first time this year. With long-standing Angels Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima leading the pack, the plane full of catwalk beauties departed from New York on Sunday, headed for the English capital. Wearing matching pink scarves and hoodies emblazoned with the phrase "Angel 14" across the chest, each girl was presented with a pink boarding pass as they strutted up the airport runway.

Excitement among Victoria's Secret fans reached fever pitch when household names Doutzen Kroes, Karlie Kloss, Lily Aldridge and Candice Swanepoel, among others, all took to Instagram to share photos from their trip. As they settled in for the six-hour journey, the stars donned their sleep masks and wrapped up with customised Victoria's Secret blankets, to ensure they were well rested before the big event next week.

The show – one of the most hotly anticipated fashion events of the year – will take place at Earls Court Exhibition Centre on Tuesday 2 December and will air on 10 December on 4Music TV channel. No fewer than 47 winged Angels will shimmy their way down the London catwalk – the most the show has ever included – and will showcase more than 79 different outfits from across six categories.
