Crown Princess Mary of Denmark and the Duchess of Sussex's elegant wardrobes have often been compared – and we couldn't help but notice a similarity or two in the Danish royal's latest outfit. The Princess looked ultra-chic for an official dinner at the Finlandia Hall during her visit to Helsinki on Thursday, wearing a fitted boat-neck black top tucked into a beautifully intricate green midi skirt – in a very familiar silhouette to that favoured by Meghan. Doesn't she look stunning?
Crown Princess Mary's latest outfit featured a boat neckline
The neckline is similar to the one that Meghan has become known for – worn most notably, of course, on her royal wedding day, but also for a number of public engagements since. One of our personal favourites (and particularly reminiscent of Mary's look), was Meghan's Carolina Herrera Trooping The Colour dress - which had a similar off-the-shoulder shape to Mary, too.
In fact, the two royals even chose the same neckline for their wedding dresses, both opting for an almost off-shoulder look for their bridal gowns. And, it isn't only the neckline that rings a fashion bell in Mary's latest outfit – since her black cut-out shoes also look familiar to the Aquazzura Deneuve pumps Meghan regularly wears, and of course the Duchess has loved midi skirt since her Suits days.

It's hardly surprising the pair have a similar style sense, really, and whether they're subconsciously inspired by each other's wardrobes or not, we reckon there's enough boat necklines and midi skirts to go around for everyone, don't you?
Mary also wore an elegant trouser suit earlier in the day
The Danish Princess even spoiled us with two outfits during her visit to Helsinki – wearing a beautiful neutral trouser suit to a New Nordic food event earlier in the day. Teamed with perfectly-matching heels and a crisp white blouse, she certainly proved elegance has nothing to do with skirts and dresses...
