Queen Mary of Denmark may be off-duty for royal events amid the summer break, but she still has a personal schedule to keep her busy.
Pictures released by Billed Bladet showed the royal joined her husband King Frederik at his godson Gregers Carl Preben Ahlefeldt-Laurvig-Bille's wedding on Saturday 22 August. Mary and Frederik were among a star-studded guest list who watched Greger marry Cecilie Juhl at Kværndrup Kirke on the island of Funen.
Adhering to the white tie dress code, which expects royals to wear gowns and tiaras, Queen Mary turned heads in a pastel pink lace-trimmed chiffon gown by New York designer Mikael Aghal.
Showing off her sustainable style credentials, it was an outfit repeat from June 2025, when she wore the bell-sleeved maxi dress during an official royal tour of Nigeria, and October 2024, when she debuted the floral gown during an official visit to Australia.
For her wedding guest look, the mother-of-four teamed it with Gianvito Rossi pink pumps, a Prada clutch and the Edwardian Tiara, which she purchased at auction in 2012.

According to The Court Jeweller, it was originally a convertible necklace made of diamonds, rubies, and spinels set in gold and silver with matching earrings, which cost €8050 (approximately £6980)from Bruun Rasmussen auction house.
Mary reportedly had to replace a missing stone before she debuted the necklace in public three years later at Queen Margrethe's birthday party at the Concert Hall Aarhus. The tiara was first spotted in March 2016, when she attended a gala at Christiansborg Palace.
© GettySpeaking of her unconventional decision to buy a new tiara as opposed to wearing a family heirloom, jewellery expert Trang Do previously told HELLO!: "From my perspective, Queen Mary's approach to tiaras is quietly radical by royal standards.
"Rather than relying solely on inherited heirlooms, she has actively acquired tiaras at auction, introducing pieces into the royal collection through her own discernment and taste."
While heirlooms are "loaded with symbolism" and "reinforce lineage and legacy," Trang noted: "Mary's willingness to introduce new-old pieces, antiques with their own provenance but not tied to her family line, signals a more modern interpretation of royal jewellery, where craftsmanship and historic value can coexist with personal agency."
King Frederik's godson's high-society wedding
The royal couple had travelled from their summer home, Gråsten Palace in southern Jutland, to the island for Gregers' wedding, where they were joined by Count Nikolai of Monpezat and his partner Benedikte Thoustrup, and Princess Benedikte of Denmark.
The bride looked lovely in a floor-length white gown with a sweeping train and long lace sleeves, which she paired with the Ahlefeldt-Laurvig-Bille Tiara.
The diamond floral tiara is an heirloom from her husband's side, and was previously worn by the groom's stepmother, Princess Alexandra of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, for her wedding to Count Michael Ahlefeldt-Laurvig-Bille in 2019.
