Happy birthday, Shailene Woodley! As the The Fault in Our Stars actress celebrates turning 23, HELLO! Online takes a look at what the stars have in store for Shailene and for you...
This is what Shailene, who is a Scorpio, can be expecting today:
From an early age we are taught to observe social niceties. We must say 'please', 'thank you' and 'how do you do?' We may be considered rude if we go straight to the point without first discussing the weather. Perhaps some of us, sometimes, are so fearful of causing offence that we stick only to the blandest of topics and avoid the nitty-gritty at all costs. Yet how can it be outrageous to say something that truly needs to be said? And how can it be wise for you to allow a situation that lacks true communication to continue?
Shailene Woodley was born on 15 November 1991 in Simi Valley, California.
The American actress first made waves in the industry with small television roles in programmes Without a Trace and The District but earned her first break-out role with her role as the protagonist, Amy Jeurgens in the ABC Family series The Secret Life of the American Teenager as a 15-year-old who discovers she is pregnant.
In 2011, the star made her feature film debut in The Descendants, where she played Alex, the troubled elder daughter of Matt King, portrayed by George Clooney. Her performance was met with praise by critics and she went on to receive a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture for her role in the film
Shailene has recently starred in the big-screen adaptation of John Green‘s novel The Fault In Our Stars and Veronica Roth's Divergent. She will reprise her role as Tris Prior for reminder of the film's franchise.
