Scarlett Moffatt has revealed her dismay over her parents Betty and Mark's shock axe from Channel 4 show, Gogglebox. The 26-year-old took to Twitter on Monday to confirm the news, confessing the Moffatt family are completely "gutted". She tweeted: "We are going to miss doing #gogglebox so so much. But can't wait to watch the new series (good luck my fellow goggleboxers you will smash it love the Moffatts)." [sic]
In response to a fan's messaged, Scarlett added: "We are gutted to, thought my Mam and dad (and little Ava) would still be able to do it but we will still be watching." [sic]. Meanwhile, it seems the reality TV star's career is really taking off as she recently landed a role on two big new shows for Channel 4. One is an as-yet-unnamed entertainment series that she will co-host with comedian Alan Carr, while the other is already familiar to TV viewers - a reboot of TV dating show Streetmate.
"I can't believe Channel 4 have asked me to present this iconic show," Scarlett said of her new hosting job. "I remember watching Davina on Streetmate when I was younger and thinking, 'Females can present entertainment shows too. I want to do that when I am older.' It's such a fun show and it's two of my favourite things to do; chat to randomers and a love story."
Earlier on, the queen of the jungle confirmed she has also landed a dream role on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, and the star can't stop smiling about it. Talking about how it feels to reunite with the iconic I'm A Celebrity presenters, Scarlett noted: "It's like a dream come true - working with Ant and Dec is unbelievable. They are my absolute heroes. Some of my favourite memories are being at home belly laughing with the family watching Saturday Night Takeway."
