Late DJ and SBTV founder Jamal Edwards' cause of death has been confirmed. His mother, singer and Loose Women presenter Brenda Edwards, released a statement explaining her son passed away in February due to cardiac arrhythmia after taking recreational drugs. Brenda stated she wanted to address the news herself with everyone who loved, admired, and respected her son. She also wanted to encourage others to think wisely when faced with similar situations in the future. Since her son's passing, Brenda has also set up the Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust foundation, which aims to support young people and children.

Queen have announced they will be releasing a previously unheard track featuring vocals by their late frontman, Freddie Mercury. Original band members Brian May and Roger Taylor, who continue to perform to this day with Adam Lambert as their lead singer, told BBC Radio 2 they had discovered the song in their archives. The recording was from their album The Miracle sessions which was put together in 1989, two years before Freddie passed away from complications related to aids. The band added fans can look forward to hearing the track in September.

Demi Lovato has announced their upcoming new album is set to drop in August. The singer revealed in a statement that the record, which will be their eighth release, is a return to the star's pop-punk roots. Demi also explained to fans that the process of recording the album has been the most fulfilling yet, adding they felt more sure of themselves and their sound than ever before. Fans will be able to listen to the sixteen-track record on 19 August.
