Piers Morgan has reunited with Susanna Reid. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the TV star – who left Good Morning Britain in 2021 – shared a photo from his unexpected coffee date with Susanna. The caption read: "Good morning (again) Britain! Been a while since we last had breakfast together… lovely to see you⁦‪ @susannareid100."

The former co-stars headed to Café Phillies in west London – a spot that Piers has called his "second office". While it appears that the pair met for a quick catch-up over coffee, Good Morning Britain fans are already hoping that their reunion could lead to his return to the breakfast show.

"Please come back Piers, with Susanna," wrote one. "Please reunite!!! Love this photo of you both!! #dreamteam," added a second. Meanwhile, a third commented: "What a great duo you were, get piers back beside you." Back in 2021, Piers left Good Morning Britain after receiving Ofcom complaints for his critical comments about Meghan Markle's Oprah Winfrey interview. His co-star Susanna was quick to react to the news.

Addressing the presenter's decision to depart the programme, ITV released an official statement that read: "Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain. ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add."

A year after he left, Piers opened up about his departure, explaining: "I used to think I was uncensored, and then of course when I left Good Morning Britain, it turned out that I actually was being censored in the sense that I was told I had to apologise for disbelieving Princess Pinocchio or I would have to leave the building. So I took the leave-the-building option, which I thought was a sad moment for me and for the show. I thought it was the wrong call by ITV."

Following his exit in 2021, Piers has become the host of his own television programme, Piers Morgan Uncensored, which is broadcast weekly on TalkTV,  Sky News Australia and Fox Nation.
