Mary Berry reveals she's never heard of new Great British Bake Off presenter Noel Fielding

Former Great British Bake-Off judge Mary Berry has revealed she doesn't know who British comedian Noel Fielding is. Breaking her silence on the show's new signings, the 81-year-old happily shared her thoughts. When asked if she had worked with The Mighty Boosh's Noel - who will be stepping into Mel & Sue's presenting role with Sandi Toksvig on the revamped Channel 4 series - Mary told The Sun: "I don't know him, but I'd take my chances."

Last week, Channel 4 announced the new GBBO line-up which also sees food writer Prue Leith join Paul Hollywood on the judging panel. Mary Berry also shared her approval on Prue, praising her for her "knowledge" and "personality".

After the news broke, Noel Fielding said that Bake Off is one of his "favourite shows", saying: "I've always loved brightly coloured cakes and Sandi Toksvig so this is a dream come true for me! It's basically the double."
